Day 2-11 miles 4-16-10
Shorter day but no easier. Started out late almost 10:30, and walking around the lake was hot. We were tired and I was still dehydrated,

slow going but we made it to bolder oaks. There was a nice picnic table under the shade of a large oak that made the perfect spot to rest our feet and do a little journal writing. After our break we went under two huge overpasses of interstate 8

before climbing and climbing all the way to gain great views of the interstate, our trail, and all the way back to the Mexican Border. After crossing a road we went up and along a gorgeous crestline with the best views we've had yet. Almost dark now and we still and have a few miles to cover. Well we've got a second wind how trying to get to camp before we have to set up camp on the trail. Coming around a corner we could hear a creek soon we say about 12-13 hikers. Man that looks inviting! Just as we were about to pass, a guy from the group approached us an asked us where we were headed we told him, cibbet flat maybe, he said there is enough room here despite the large group your more than welcome to camp here. Well you don't have to twist our arms. No sooner had we set up camp we were fast asleep.
