Meandering 2,650 miles through California, Oregon, and Washington. Beginning at the Mexico border near Campo, CA, and ending at Manning park in Canada.
Hiking through the heat of the desert and over snowy mt. passes, from 13,300ft atop forester pass to just around 100ft near the Columbia river. There will be thousands of lakes to see 3 of which are among the deepest in the US (Crater lake, Tahoe, and Chelan), as well as many more rivers, creeks, and streams to cross and to drink from. Mt. Shasta, Lassen, Hood, Rainier, and St. Helens are but a few of the many volcanoes along the trail in the cascade range of Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. There's 33 designated wilderness areas and more than 20 national forests, You'll also find some of America's most loved national parks like Sequoia and Yosemite. Covering so many of different ecosystems alpine, sub alpine, high desert, low desert, old growth, and rain forest, with so many different wildlife species and all the different plants, trees, fungi, and bugs, and so much more.

Wow! Jay this sounds so exciting. What a wonderful and extremely difficult endeavor. I hope you get everything you want out of this experience and have a great time doing it. I will be following your updates and looking forward to this trek via the internet....cuz it's the only way I would ever do it!!!
